Djin is a film director, actress, screenwriter and producer. Among other accolades, she received the APCA Award for Best Film Actress. She has worked in feature films with directors such as Paulo Cesar Saraceni, Julio Bressane, Rogério Sganzerla, and Carlos Reichenbach, among others. She is daughter of Rogério Sganzerla and Helena Ignez. She is a partner at Mercúrio Produções, founded in 2001, and made her directorial debut in 2020 with “Ocean Woman”, screened at the 44th Mostra. The film received several national and international awards and was presented at film festivals in Europe, USA, and Asia. She also co-directed and co-wrote the short film “Antes do Amanhã (2022), alongside André Guerreiro Lopes. “Eclipse” is her second feature film.
