A renowned Belgian writer, his novels have been translated into 30 languages and have won many European prizes. Three of his books have been adapted into films: “The Misfortunates” (2009, 33rd Mostra), by Felix van Groeningen, “Problemski Hotel” (2015), by Manu Riche and “Un Ange” (2018), by Koen Mortier. “The Weeping Walk” is his directorial feature film debut.
