He is a Tibetan director. He graduated with a BA degree in Tibetan language and literature at the Northwest Minzu University. He studied screenwriting and directing at Beijing Film Academy and Communication University of China. His short film “Metok” (2019) was presented at the Macao International Film Festival. He has worked as an assistant director for “Tharlo” (2015) and “Jinpa” (2018), by Pema Tseden and “One and Four” (2021), by Jigme Trinle. “Tashi” is his first feature film.
