
Screenwriter, director, and producer born in New York, USA, in 1986. He graduated in film from the Santa Fe University of Art and Design and holds a master’s degree in directing from the AFI (American Film Institute). He began directing in 2008 with the short film “Herman’s Cure-All Tonic.” Ten years later, he made his first feature film, “Hereditary” (2018). He then directed “Midsommar” (2019) and “Beau Is Afraid” (2023). In 2019, together with Lars Knudsen, he founded the production company Square Peg, responsible for films by filmmakers such as Robert Eggers, Kristoffer Borgli, Guy Maddin, Evan and Galen Johnson, and Yorgos Lanthimos.
