
Born in India. After attending military academy and graduating from the University of Baroda, Chauhan began his career as an animator in 2006 at Paprika Studios in Bangalore, working on TV series for Nickelodeon. In 2008, he joined the animation team for the film “Delhi Safari” (2012) and later became team leader, overseeing production of the BBC’s children’s series “Everything’s Rosie” (2010-2017). In 2011, he moved to Tokyo, where he worked at Polygon Pictures on projects such as the animated series “Tron: Uprising” (2012-2013). Later, Chauhan collaborated with other Japanese studios, including OLM Digital and Square Enix. In 2016, founded the independent production company Kowatanda Films. He made his feature film directorial debut in 2017 with “Bad Poetry Tokyo”. He is also the director of the feature films “Kontora” (2019) and “December” (2022).
