
Aitor Arregi was born in Onãti, Guipúzcoa, Spain, in 1977. He studied film at the Center for Performing Arts of Sarobe. He co-directed features like “Sahara Maraton” (2004), “Glup” (2004), “Christopher Tremendous” (2006) and “Lucio” (2007), presented at the 32nd Mostra. He then directed “Handia” (2017), winner of the special jury prize at the San Sebastián International Film Festival, “La Trinchera Infinita” (2019), which received the critics’ prize and best screenplay and direction awards also at San Sebastián, and “Marco, the Invented Truth” (2014), which was presented at the 48th Mostra and at the Venice Film Festival.
