In 1939, the world was in upheaval and war was inevitable. There is no safe haven, however, in the South Atlantic there will always be an escape route. Ships traveling along the South American coast often make mandatory stops to recapture immigrant fugitives who escaped from other ships. In these stops, desperate immigrants would rather throw themselves into the sea than face deportation or the pain of the new reality. Gorgeous beaches, drinks and betrayals turn them into wandering lovers. In a vain attempt to avoid the death of their ideologies, these foreigners prefer imaginary lives and endless passions.
