The documentary investigates the reasons that lead people, in the 21st century, to take vows of poverty and celibacy, obedience and stability, and choose to spend their lives in a cloister when joining monastic life. In today’s world, where human relationships are increasingly disposable, religious vows, by contrast, are a lifelong commitment. The documentary reveals a reality that most people do not have access to, inside the Monasteries and Abbeys.
