Davis Guggenheim
Born in 1964 in the USA. Son of director Charles Guggenheim and married to actress Elisabeth Shue, he started on his career in the nineties, directing and producing TV series. Among his contribution to television are episodes of the series Party of Five, 24, The Shield, Alias, and ER. In 2000, he directed the dramatic thriller Gossip, his first feature. An Inconvenient Truth (2006), his second feature, won the Public Prize of Best Documentary at the 30th Mostra and the Oscar for Best Documentary. In 2008, he directed the short documentary A Mother`s Promise: Barack Obama Bio Film, which played at the National Convention of the Democratic Party.
