WONDERLAND

USA

WoderlandBlocks and more blocks of houses completely identical make up the first district in a planned suburb in the United States. Levittown is now fifty years and has earned itself this documentary. Awarded prizes in the festivals of Atlanta and San Francisco, Terra das Maravilhas casts a glance full of affection and amusement on the routine of the local residents.

Built as an experimental community in 1947, the suburb was a model in planning broadcast throughout the world. By means of interviews and some scenes from files, the film focuses on the life of the residents of Levittown and their different experiences.

Levittown residents include rock star Eddie Money singing a version of the song Two Tickets to Paradise. Miss New York 1996, Keelin Curnuck and cartoonist Bill Griffith are others among the famous residents to make statements concerning the place.
