WALK THE WALK

France / Switzerland

Walk the WalkIn the south of France, father, mother, and daughter form a quiet, apparently happy family. He is a coach for long distance runners. She is a biologist. The girl finishes high school at the age of 19. They live a normal routine: work, schools, meeting friends.

All changes when Raye decides to leave home to see the world. She hits the road and travels first through the north of France, then over Germany and Poland. She wishes to find balance, to come to ideas of her own in respect to life. The example of the daughter is soon followed by the father. He abandons all, not knowing exactly where he is going. He boards a ship heading east. He disembarks in Odessa, in Russia and begins walking up-country in East Europe, with no destination.
