THE VOICE OF BERGMAN

Sweden

The Voice of BergmanOne of the most important filmmakers of this century: Ingmar Bergman, in one of his rare interviews. This is a long 87-minute conservation where Bergman talks of his relationship with the films, the music, and other elements that make up the world of cinema. To further accentuate his words, the film does not include any part of his films and may be shown without music. The voice of the master leads all. Having worked in the cinema for 55 years, his experiences as artist and director are unique: in addition, he is a specialist on silent film. The documentary is a profound journey to the very heart of one of the greatest film directors of all times, an inexhaustible source of information and inspiration. The Voice of Bergman is in six parts: “The Word and the Image”, “The Illusion of Time”, “The Music of Close-Up”, “Focus of Pain”, “Shards From the Mirror”, “The Cinema on Farö”, “The Insanity of Film” and “The Great Mystery”.
