SEASON FIVE

Iran

Season FiveThe two principal local families - the Jamalvandis and the Kamalvandis - have been enemies for so long, they can no longer remember the motive for the discord.

In spite of this, the story commences with a possibility of reconciliation: Karamat, a boy from the Kamalvandi fanily, and Mehrbanou, daughter of the Jamalvandi, are about to get married. It is, however, impossible to say that they are in love. The marriage is an imposition on the part of their parents for the sake of peace. And the inevitable occurs: the boy runs away, putting an end to the idyllic atmosphere to the extent that the girl's grandfather has a heart attack.

Some time later, Karamat returns to the village with a bus. The villagers had never seen anything similar and are enchanted by the novelty on its way to and from the town and the rivalry between both augments. One day the buses does not return from town. Mehrbanou then becomes aware of her true feelings towards here ex-fiancé. In her concern, she persuades both families to go in search of the boy and of the passengers, even though she does not know whether they are still alive.
