tuart Urban, born in 1959, won the
British Academy Awards in 1993, for the script
and for directing An Ungentlemanly Act.
Better known for productions written and directed
by Television, he also made Our Friends in the
North (BBC). He is the author of Deadly
Voyage (BBVC/HBO) with which he won the
Silver Nymph for Best Script in the Monte Carlo
TV Festival. At the age of 13, in 1972, he was
the youngest director to take part in the Cannes
Film Festival with The Virus of War, a
short film.

The basic issue in
this film is: who will pervert whom? On one side is
Peter, an agent contracted by the British Parliament
whose mission it is to take apart an illegal network of
fetichist clubs active in the country, in England. On one
hand is Tania Cheex, a sex goddess from New York and
owner of a network of illicit businesses that the hero
wishes to destroy. In love with her, he intends to change
her into a 'normal' woman and thus prevent her from being
arrested. Tania, however, has no intention of changing
her life style. She therefore tries to convince him to
enter the world of sin. The result of this equation is a
man deep in a moral dilemma: to report or not to inform
on the woman he loves?
