Hana-bitogether and performed by Japanese comedian Takeshi Kitano who also completed the designs that illustrate the story. Acclaimed in the recent Venice Festival, the director was compared to Jacques Tati, Samuel Fueller, Sam Peckinpack, Jean Pierre Melville, Quentin Tarantino and even to Buster Keaton. And he won the Golden Lion, the maximum prize for the event, for this black humor comedy.The film is divided between scenes of tenderness and extreme violence to narrate the trajectory of detective Nishi, a man guided by ideals of friendship and loyalty. His life, however, undergoes a complete change when he learns that his wife has a terminal disease.As soon as he leaves the hospital, as yet shaken by the drastic condition of his wife, he is given the news that his friend and partner has been shot in an ambush by the Mafia. Weeks later, he visits his companion who is in a wheel chair living in a house by the seaside.
