A Further GestureA modern thriller that takes place in Ireland and in the United States, Um Gesto a Mais follows a disillusioned IRA prisoner at the peak of a personal crisis. In a thoughtless decision, Sean Dowd becomes part of a plan to escape from a maximum security prison in Ireland.After the escape, he makes his way to New York where he wishes to restart life. In a struggle to survive in the city suburbs, he is contacted by two refugees from Guatemala - Monica and Tulio - whose belief in a political cause was as strong as was Sean’s one day.In love with Monica, he is more and more involved in the case and discovers that a political assassination is being planned. Inexorably he is drawn into a world he knows so well

Robert Dornhelm

Born in Timisoara in Rumania, in 1947, Dornhelm emigrated to Vienna in 1960 where he studied Cinema from 1965 until 1967. As maker of over 100 documentaries, his first fiction film dates from 1979, She Dances Alone. As from then, he keeps up a vast production including films such as Cold Feet, Echo Park and Requiem Für Dominic.
