POST COITUM, ANIMAL TRISTE

France

Post Coitum, Animal TristeHumor and drama are interwoven creatively in the story of a woman in love with a younger man. She loves her husband, her children, and her work (in a small publishing house). She lives in Paris and is happy with her family, until the day she meets Emílio, a young hydraulics engineer who works for a humanitarian organization. Possessed with passion, she sets aside a peaceful routine, and takes risks in furtive encounters with the boy. She embarks blindly on this love affair: she changes her hair style, clothes, and hair style. She sincerely believes she is starting on a new phase of her life. A mistake. Emílio is but on his way through and abandons her in full "flight".

Desperate, she loses everything: husband, children, job, and lover, plunging into despair without the will to live. She cares not a damn for anything - neither her health and, much less, personal hygiene. She can only think of the days of love and pleasure that she experienced with Emílio. Only the friendship with a budding writer, who writes his second book owing to her assistance, is able to draw her out of the bottom of the well.
