Born in 1960, in Debrecen,
Hungary. From 1982 until 1986, he worked as assistant director at Pannónia Filmstudios
while studying philosophy at the Lóránd Eötvös University. From 1987 until 1990, he
studied cinema at the Budapest Academy and spent one year in the Louis Lumičre School for
Cinema, in Paris. Since 1987, he has made several documentaries. The Way is his first
feature. |

The life of Chinese
immigrants in Budapest is portrayed by means of the journey of a man who decides to return
to his country.After living for years in Hungary, an old professor sets off in a trip
towards discovery and a search into his own past, in China today. He does not know for
sure where he belongs, and thus he must review all he has left behind, his city, his
culture.For such, he will have to be able to free himself from the years of humiliation
brought about by his condition as a foreigner. All he wants is to rebuild those things he
lost, even in the knowledge that some of these losses are irreparable
